Current Needs
Our vehicle situation has risen to a critical level! We currently have 3 ministry vehicles, yet they are all constantly breaking down. If you know anyone that has a car, truck or SUV in good working condition they can donate it for a tax write off (not to mentions blessings from heaven!!!). These are vehicles we use to do daily ministry; such as driving to outreach sites, taking girls to church, transporting the children at orphanage....and much much more! Multipurpose vehicles are best!
A plea from one of our missionaries currently serving in Honduras:
I will tell you exactly why we need a vehicle... Because yesterday in the flooding rain storms I thought it was a super bad idea to take a bus and taxis when the streets were full to my knees with nasty water. I shall attempt the Mashida were my initial thoughts as I started out the adventure. Of course it wouldn’t start at first...
yet finally the car starts, but no wipers. I can barely see in the end of the house next door with my eyes, imagine driving with no wipers. We start to brainstorm…Let see if we can start one of the other cars, a suburban. We charged it and it started right up! Yay God.!!! Made it to the Gates of Hope safely that day! Now for the return trip…Wouldn’t you know not even halfway back the car stops. We roll to a stop. We fiddle and play, and nope can’t get it running. We can’t figure out why the car won´t accelerate and seems to get no gas, but starts perfectly fine. We call the only friend we can think that has a vehicle big enough to pull a suburban.
Why can´t we just have a little SUV or even a little Honda that runs great and works perfectly for our quick trips out and back. Not once have I been able to make a round trip to Tocoa without having to have something fixed in the middle or breaking down in the mountains. Imagine never being able call "AAA" or some sort of road side assistance. It has just been one thing after another.
