Open Door Ministries helps many people in Honduras and several opportunities that you may wish to become involved are listed below.

The Gates of Hope is a home that can house up to 25 girls and their babies. Many of these girls have become pregnant as a result of rape and would continue to live a life of abuse, incest and neglect until they are rescued. This environment will offer these girls, and their children, hope in achieving a higher quality of life. The Gates of Hope is designed to give the girls "a hand up, not a hand out."

The Village of Hope is a children's village that will consist of ten Casitas. These Casitas consist of some single and some double story homes. Currently there are two Casitas open, providing a safe home for orphaned children. Our single story Casitas are 1,300 sq. ft. and will house six to eight children and a set of house parents at a cost of $28,000 per Casita. Our two story Casita is 1,800 sq. ft. and costs $34,500.

The Chapel will seat up to 150 people when finished and will also serve as our bi-lingual school for the children of The Gates of Hope and The Village of Hope.

Las Brisas de Amor is a feeding program that provides a hot and nutricious lunch to over 80 children, for many of which it is their only meal of the day.

Pastors in Training is a 2 year program to equip pastors in the mountains with knowledge.
